I like Matt Faircloth's youtube channel - he is a frequent contributor here, and has some great videos that are easy to watch and very informative. There are a few investor groups, each one with their own particular audience, and you can learn a ton from them.

If you have a good credit score a FHA house hack is a great first plan. If you buy with multiple exit strategies in mind it is hard to go wrong there. You can learn a ton by self-managing, and by doing your own repairs.

Thank you for this advice! I'm definitely going to be checking all of the things you mentioned, And what exactly would be considered a good credit score? My score is in the low 700's

By far, house hacking is what I would have done for my first deal if I was just starting out. It's such a great way to get started. You are essentially turning your "liability" of a house into an asset by having it produce income.

If you are near a college town, even better. Students are always looking for a place to rent.

Hey Travis i decided that i'm definitely going to start with house hacking! What did you start out with and how many houses or units do you own?

@Shawn Mcenteer I found a REI meet up that I will be attending at the start of July! My Credit right now is in the low 700's and i'm working on saving money now. What did you start out with when you got into real estate?

Hello everyone on BP my name is Bradley and i'm 20 years old, I work full time as an union electrician but recently I decided that I would like to learn how to invest in real estate. I have been listening to podcasts and reading some books. I would like to know what a lot of you guys recommend reading and looking into? I want to take action but I also want to know as much as I can before I do. I was thinking of house hacking with a FHA loan to start with. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!
