Post: How do you find/get deals in a crowded market when just staring

I had a rental property years ago and sold it. My wife and I are looking to get back into real estate investing for monthly cash flow so one day I can quit my 8-5 job as mechanic. In the short time I have been on BP I have noticed quiet a few people buying property in my area of southern Wisconsin. So my question is how is some one with little money and little experience supposed to beat out others with money and more experience?
