Hey BP

I am looking for advice regarding property taxes. My mentor advised moving to Louisiana and investing there due to property taxes being so low. My mentor is a seasoned real estate investor and has many properties in LA, where she currently lives and has been in the business for over 30 yrs. We currently live in Texas and would like to invest here but the property taxes are so high. Any suggestions on whether a move to Louisiana would be beneficial or could we make it just as well in TX? Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much I am currently reading BiggerPockets Ultimate Beginner's Guide and we have been listening to the podcasts.  We decided to take up real estate after a deal for opening a restaurant failed about two months ago.  But I look forward to keeping you all updated and I'm sure once we are ready to invest we will have plenty of questions and possibly advice.  Thank you again.

Just wanted to introduce myself.  I'm totally new to this but I am learning so much from all the different post and discussions I've read.  Right now I am currently getting as much knowledge as I can before I jump into investing.  My husband and I plan to purchase a multi-family unit before the end of this year and this is how we plan to start out as landlords.  But anyway just wanted to say hi...
