Thinking of buying a vacation house in Lake Arrowhead, CA and doing STR with it while also using it ourselves .What are your opinions? Compared to buying in crestline or Big Bear? What is average occupancy rate? Average nightly rates? I don't have any software to find these data . Any help would be much appreciated!! Total newbie here ! Also what should we look at for Cash on cash return for the investment? We are thinking of 10% down payment and limit it to 750k price

@Rick Albert I live and own a house in Thousand Oaks and am thinking of buying a SFH or a multifam for LTR. So far everything is selling very quickly abs mostly in 700-800 range and higher !!

Hi I am in Thousand Oaks as well and looking to get into real estate , but some SFhouses I have seen on Zillow lately , they are all negative cash flow and less than the 2% . I would like to learn more about the possibilities here .
