Quote from @Bruce Lynn:

Questions to ask a broker.

1. Where's your training room? (No room, no training.....you want some in person training, not 100% online.)

2. Where's your training calendar? (No calendar, probably no training.)

3. What does the training cost? What is free and what is paid?

4. What does the training cost? What is free and what is paid?

5. Are you profitable? Every month? Are you debt free? Are you growing? Do you profit share?

6. What do you offer agents, other brokerages don't?

7. Will you teach me to generate my own leads? How will you do that? In what niches do your agents specialize?

8. What opportunities are there for growth, besides being an agent?

Probably 95% of the agents are not focusing on the most important thing. Most have questions about fees and splits. I guess that is important, but it kills me when so many people who have no business are focusing on splits. When you’re killing it, then go think about how you got there, who helped you along the way, and then maybe consider fees and splits. There are so many other important areas to focus when you are getting started.

 Thank you very much, Bruce!

Quote from @Gerardo Jasso III:

Hey Bin, I understand how you're feeling, there are a lot of big name brokerages to choose from, but the main thing you should be looking for is what do you want to gain from your brokerage. Of course the split amount is a big factor, but what can they offer you? In house leads, how to spot deals, who will be there to support you when you run into a problem or need help traversing real estate as a whole. This should all be questions you ask yourself when choosing a brokerage, maybe even a small local brokerage would be better for personal growth; best of luck in choosing your broker!

 Thank you so much, Gerardo!

Hi, I need advice on how to find a broker to work for. Recently got my sales person license. But it is in "not working" status, since I don't have a broker yet. Will really appreciate any advice on how to look for a broker to work for. What need to be considered when looking for a broker? And what typical questions should I ask? Thank you!

Hi, what typical ways are out there to find out who the owner of an apartment building is? Have been driving for dollars a while. Found an interesting small apartment building that needs some improvement. Would like to cold call the owner to find if they want to sell. Thank you!
