@Chris Seveney it’s in a very desirable location, on the green of the down town area. I think if it goes to auction I will be competing with a dozen investors. I think if I can get this women’s attention, I will be able to purchase below auction price.

Long story short, there is a house in my neighborhood that has been abandoned for quite a while. I have tried to reach out to the homeowner but never had luck due to not knowing her mailing address. Just this month the city has begun foreclosing on the house. The women inherited the house but never paid taxes, roughly 50K is due. 

The court documents have her address listed at a motel in a nearby town. I want to send her a letter and attempt to purchase the house before the city forecloses on it and puts it to auction. 

Has anyone ever dealt with something like this? How should I go about this.
