Thanks @Larry Fried after the reading your post the first thing that comes to mind is who do you buy your turnkey properties from.

How does the process on BP work with a question like that. Should I message people directly or is it acceptable to ask for references in open forums?

Oh for sure @John Santero I was just home visiting Boston and I was happy to get back to LA.

I can see myself following a similar path.

Hi my name is Billy I'm originally from Boston now live in Los Angeles.  I'm new to real estate investing, but I have a serious passion for it. I spend lots of time reading and learning all I can.  My short term goal it to get my first income property and I'm determined to get it right the first time.

I'm hoping BP can provide me the assistants and guidance I need to be successful and then one day have the opportunity to give back and contribute to the BP community.

Living in Los Angeles poses a bit of a challenge, but recently I have been looking into turnkey properties.  Which of course like most people I was hesitant to go after at first. I had the typically questions and concerns. Should I really buy property that far from where I live.  How will i learn how things work if I'm not involved at all? I'm coming around to the idea of it, especially since it seems to be my only real way to get started at this point. Currently one of my biggest questions is which market do I go after?

I'm sure there are lots of people out there who share my situation.  I loved to hear from some people about their experiences when they got started or what they are going through now as a new real estate investor.
