I'm looking for some advice and or ideas in my first deal using a Self Directed IRA. We have a place under contract. The ARV is $40k - $50k more than the purchase price.

Once all repairs and updates are included what are some thoughts on realizing the equity in the property using a self directed IRA?

In what ways can I attain the equity to use for another deal? This is my first deal using a self directed IRA so their are a lot of unknowns.

Any things I should be on the look out for from experienced investors who use this type of financing? Thanks for all of your help.

Hello BP Family,

I'd like some feedback on trust companies that people have used to create Self Directed IRA's. After talking to 3 companies I feel that this is a great resource to build a real estate portfolio , I don't feel very confident that the companies I'm am talking with will give me the support I need to use this tool effectively in the beginning while I'm figuring it out. Thoughts ?

Also in what ways has everyone used Self - Directed IRAs as it pertains to real estate?
