Thank you all for the wonderful welcome. I have already read lots of great articles stemming from this site and connected with some true professionals. I am excited to get started and will be doing what I can to get my second deal done right...

Regards,

Brian

Thank you Chris...

I like your thinking. I think Tacoma is great and there are some deals (on the surface) that are appealing. As I build capital, it will be difficult to stay grounded, but I can always fly home to do a deal and fly back...who knows!

Regards,

Brian

Thank you Grant...

I have found the same to be true...Should I wait to get a mentor or ask for one now even though I am 3 years from my first purchase?

Hi Chris,

Thank you for welcoming me to the "neighborhood".

I currently own 1 single family home that I am renting (March 2014). My goal is to buy and hold properties and grow a long-term portfolio while working full-time. I am not counting out selling, but a sale will be a re-investment.

My two biggest concerns are:

1. Will there be opportunities in 2017?

2. In Seattle (Gig Harbor), properties are expensive and getting a good cap rate, profit margin, etc. seems almost impossible.

I would be happy to network with you...What is your niche?

Brian

Hello everyone,

My name is Brian and I am from Seattle, Washington. I just started my real estate investment career by renting my primary residence while I am away, working for the Army. My goal is to gain knowledge, experience, and advice during the next few years while I build my capital for future business. When I return to the Seattle area in a few years, I would like to start a real estate LLC with my childhood friend. We have similar personalities, goals, and ambitions and I am excited to learn all I can.

Thank you "BiggerPockets" for providing me an opportunity to learn and network with professionals in the market. I have an MBA, but real estate is something new to me...I look forward to meeting everyone and soon helping others to succeed in whatever way I can.

Regards,

Brian
