Build new construction? As for the market, Phila is one of the hottest markets in the country. If you live in or around the city I'm sure you're seeing all the new construction all around!?!?

David, thanks for the advice! I'm more interested on flips and buy and hold. But to be honest, I'm in the learning phase right now, so I don't know if I would change my mind later on when I get more into it. I just bought my 1st home and I'm planning on finishing the basement and rent it out. Also I'm currently saving $$ to buy another porperty whitin the next 2 years. I finished college last year and I just began working full-time. That's the plan but we'll see!

Thank you Bill. I'll definitely look into it!

Hey there, @Betsy Batista. Great to see you take that first and maybe most difficult step in real estate investment: reaching out on BiggerPockets. Congratulations and I wish you a ton of success.

Thank you Jack! Although I've always being interested on investing in real state, It was recently that I decided to start learning more about it. I found out about BP listening to the podcasts, and they motivated me to stop making excuses and start taking control of my finances to eventually reach financial independence.

Hey everyone!

My name is Betsy, and I'm a newbie here in the BP forum. I currently live in Philadelphia, PA. I'm really interested in investing on real state, and I just bought my 1st home a couple of months ago. For now, I just want to learn about investing on real estate and networking with people in the area to learn more about the current market here in Philly and surrounding areas.
