Welcome Ginger! Happy to be a resource as needed. For buying my first property, I really benefited from a good real estate agent and talking to as many investors as possible. Best of luck!

@Stewart Morrison I think it all really depends. Is there a point in which he wants to be paid back? What would this look like if so? What happens if someone wants out or to sell it at some point? I’d reccomend figuring out value of your time and then thinking about much time it’ll take you from an operations perspective and divy out % that way.

@Sergio P Ramos all really depends on the market. You get a little swing in spring and fall per usual but a good deal is a good deal

@Ronit Lodd as a tax professional, I’ve seen people use all types of methods. Stessa, Quickbooks, manual spreadsheets. It all depends on what works best for you. I haven’t found one where it is significantly better than others. Hope you find something that works well for you!

@Greg Schreffler as a tax professional, I have seen returns from TurboTax that have many errors on them. With that being said, as long as your return is fairly straight forward, you should be okay but if you have multiple rentals and other things going on, always worth at least a chat with someone.
