Post: Tips for Creating an LLC

Good morning everyone!

I am wondering if there is anyone out there who would be interested in mentoring me to help build upon my understanding of forming a Limited Liability Company.

A bit of background about myself: I am a 22-year-old Data Engineer living/working in Southern NH. I just recently closed on my first house hack (duplex in Nashua, NH) and have really enjoyed the whole process. Now that I have my rental income covering the monthly P.I.T.I. I have begun thinking about my next deal. I've spoken with a close friend of mine who is very interested in partnering up and purchasing either a fix & flip or long-term rental property. We have been talking about this for some time now, and are getting ready to take action.

I have a few questions about the process of forming an LLC, the "roles" that each partner takes in the company, and what goes into a written partnership agreement. I would really appreciate speaking with anyone who has experience with limited liability companies. I have read a bit about the pros and cons, but I feel like I'm at the point now where I should start taking action and digging deeper into the logistics.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly or make a comment on this post if you have any references or links to helpful resources.

Thanks so much,

Ben Sylvester

Hey everyone!

I've been a member of BP for a good while now, however my journey through real estate has been mainly reading books & listening to podcasts, but I am ready to start working towards my first deal.

I just graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Computer Science and have begun a data engineering job at Fidelity Investments in mid-June. While I am currently working remotely from my parents house in Barrington, RI I will be working in Merrimack, NH and am looking to begin my RE journey there. I have been looking into Manchester, Merrimack, Nashua, Londonderry, etc. I am looking to utilize a low down payment financing option and would really appreciate any lender/agent recommendations. I am not super familiar with Southern NH so any insight you all may have regarding the area would be very helpful.

Looking forward to connecting with you all and getting into my first deal. Very optimistic about the process and kicking off the wealth creation that real estate investing offers. Thanks for your time!

Good morning,

I am a recent college graduate who will be working at Fidelity Investments in Merrimack, NH beginning in late October. I have been learning about real estate, specifically house-hacking, for the past 8-12 months. My goal is to find a deal somewhere in the Southern NH area (Merrimack, Nashua, Manchester, Londonberry, etc) that would work for an owner-occupied investment property. I would love any recommendations for investor-friendly agents and southern NH lenders.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Hi everyone!

My name is Ben Sylvester. I am a student at the University of Vermont graduating in May 2021. I have done some initial research into real estate investing and the House Hacking strategy has really caught my attention. I would really love to connect with individuals in the Northeast who are in similar positions or who have had similar experiences.

Please reach out if you have any advice or just want to connect.
