@Joe Splitrock

He bought the car in 2017 brand new and overpaid when he bought it. Got gap insurance, extended warranty, the dealer took him to the cleaners. I advised him to reconsider the deal because no Toyota Corolla should be 29,000 out the door it should have been more like 21,000.

Hey you know your right I need to own this situation more and take action on preventing late payments even though it’s my brother in law responsibility. Getting that username and password and checking the account every month is a good idea thank you!

@Ian Kee

Thank you I will look into those creative strategies because after I rehab and have it rented I definitely want to get my cash back to repeat and buy another.

@Jaysen Medhurst

Okay awesome so ask about commercial loans to my lenders and reach out to credit unions. I have not tried contacting a local credit union in Kansas yet only lenders I will look into that thank you.

I took my brother in law to the dealer about a year ago to have him trade his car in because of him ruining my credit but he was upside down 7000 so I didn’t want to put up that upfront cost to leave him without a car, i may be too nice sometimes. I’m strongly considering paying it off now and having him pay me off in monthly payments. My credit will at least start improving. I’ll never co sign with anyone again. Thank you for the advice

@Mike Cumbie

That’s some solid advice I just know if he doesn’t pay Toyota it’s going to be hard to collect money from him but it’s better than my credit being ruined more your right. Thank you

Hey everyone looking for some wisdom.

I co signed for my brother in law for a 2017 Toyota Corolla. He’s sent 4 late payments in the last 7 months and be torched my credit score down to 625.

I’ve been denied financing by two small bank lenders in kansas Topeka. I just bought a triplex in January with a partner and my score then was 670 I barely made it.

What other forms of buying single family properties in kansas Topeka and doing the BRRRR strategy can I do to build capital and build a portfolio. I have 71,000 in a HELOC I can use. I was strategizing buying a home cash, rehabbing in then renting just like the BRRRR but then refinancing will have to be put on hold until my credit is sufficient and I have more cash reserves.

Me and my brother just bought a triplex in Hemet CA, all three units needed work so we went to do repairs on Sunday. On Tuesday(yesterday Jan 18) I received a phone call from Unit C, she calls me asking if I went into her unit on Monday because she is missing 500 dollars. I told her we went Sunday not Monday for repairs and I can assure you we have nothing to do with your money being lost. Then she said I think I might of seen it on Monday but not sure.

Do I document this ? Or what’s advised to do in this situation?
