Yes it's at the holiday inn in Latham.  In fact I believe they are meeting this evening at 5:15 or 5:45 I can't remember.  If you go to meetup.com you can get all of the details.  I haven't been able to go to any meetings yet although one of these days I'll get there.  Good luck!  If you need anything feel free to connect!

@Dale Kelley I wasn't able to make it to the meeting either.  I've wanted to go to the last two but they didn't work with my schedule.  One of these months I'll get there!  My rationale for meeting local investors is twofold.  I'd like to learn more about investing and I'd also like to be their real estate agent!  If you meet with my broker that would be cool.  I'm in the Niskayuna branch.

Welcome. I'm in Albany, NY too. I just started my career as a real estate agent but after being on this site and listening to the podcasts I really want to start investing! Hi there welcome to the site.  I'm also a newbie in Albany.  I've been on the site for over a month probably but haven't done any actual investing yet.  Still learning and getting all my ducks in a row.  I also just got my real estate license so I'm hoping to gain investing knowledge from that.  In case you didn't know there is a Real Estate Investor Club meetup in Latham at the Holiday Inn Express on November 17 at 5:45pm.  Perhaps you could get a reference for a good attorney there.  Hope to talk to you soon!

Welcome. This is a great group. I discovered it by listening to the podcasts although I have yet to take the leap into actual real estate investing. I want to, just don't have the resources right now. I'm in Albany too and there is actually an REI meeting coming up. I believe it is on Monday Nov. 17 at 5:30 pm at the Holiday Inn in Latham. Welcome. I too am near Albany (in Colonie). Sounds like you have a great plan. That's awesome! You have a lot more hands on experience than I do it seems. I just got my real estate license to become a real estate agent so I can begin learning about our local housing market and maybe make a living in the process.
