Drat. I'd just pulled out my evening gown, too...

Looking forward to it!

@Ryan D. Definitely. I absolutely love driving mine but I can do minor projects myself and I have a phenomenal mechanic who specialized in beemers nearby. Mine is a 325xi '04 which is surprisingly easy to work on. Especially when I get some assistance. I changed the alternator with some help which was easier enough, but alone it would have been a huge headache.

Hard question. Truck would be useful if you need to haul things but cost a lot extra in unnecessary gas money if you don't. I have a bmw 3 series I adore that's completely paid off. I love it...until I make a spontaneous purchase at Lowes or the restore, then I get creative with the sun roof :)
Something you can fold the backseats down normally helps.

I adore vinyl locking laminate. it's easy to lay, waterproof, durable, and easy to fix. The new stuff's been looking fantastic lately.

@Stacy Walker I used rentometer to get an idea then talk to my RE agent to be sure. A knowledgeable agent is extremely valuable.

Congratulations! Raleigh's really great now if you can find a deal :)
We're currently looking for our next one in the same area.

@Yuriy Tymoshenko We used the vinyl locking laminate, it's waterproof. We put lining underneath them to prevent any moisture getting into the subfloor.

Thank!

@Gary F. I may give sanding the dent a try, the putty worked well in the scratched area though matching the color was a headache.

@Edwards Debbs I tried using stream, no luck and I was worried about the laminate so I didn't try too much further.

We got a quote to replace the boards, but it was really just not worth the money to us, we'd rather just patch as we can then replace everything in one go with some locking laminate that is way easier to fix. The cherry wood looks great, but it's really impractical.

Hello Jason, did you mean to say $0?

Personally I'd go with a locking laminate over carpet. It's easy to install yourself and the latest stuff is durable and elegant. Buy extra for repairs which are easy because you can just unlock, replace the damaged board, and relock. We put down a super dark laminate in a rental with white walls and it looked very high-end without costing much.
