Welcome!  I'm brand new - but also in the Dallas area (north suburbs).  Have seen some interesting properties in Dallas but too far out of my geo area for my comfort zone. Best of luck and keep in touch!

@Peter MacKercher - thank you!  Great starting list.  I'm trying to learn everyone's role in the transactions.  Wish there was a simple flowchart!  I'll have to see what's out there.  :)

 Um, actually, we root for the Kansas City Chiefs!  It's my husband's home team.  Like you, we are likely the only ones in Dallas! :)  Thanks for the welcome!  Looking forward to learning!  And controlling our narratives!

Waving at @Scott Beck!  Nice!  Thanks for the resources!  I just started in on the podcasts (and am signed up for this week's), and downloaded one of the reports. Going to check out the book too.

Would love to meet or chat at some point to hear about your experiences in this market. Also interested in any "Must-Have" Resources that you are familiar with in our neck of the woods!  I'm happy to help you in whatever way I can in exchange (I've got marketing, coaching and writing in my background.) 

I've looked up some of the groups/meetups.  Any that you really like or suggest?  

We live in Wylie and are looking for a simple investment to get our feet wet nearby.

@Peter MacKercher - Go CARDS!  (I'm from STL!)  Thank you for all your insight...yes, I am digging through the site and talking to people on here and who are in the business locally. Fascinating stuff.  I'm kinda jumping in (research-wise) and taking measures so we can invest quickly when the right opportunity comes along.  

Do you mind me asking...who do you consider your "Go-To Team"...you know, the folks you can do business without?
