How do I start looking for mortgage notes? I have heard about going to the local court house but, where do I look? Also are investors more interested in buying 1st mortgages then 2nd mortgages? I would love to get together with someone that has some knowledge on this and pick their brain a bit.

Thanks Justin

Well I'm pretty new to everything as well but, as far as I know you find private people holding a second mortgage that have good payment history on them. You get in touch with them to see if they would be interested in selling it for a lump sum instead of getting payments. If they are then you get some info together on the note to summit to potential buyers. Then you look for note investors and see if it's something that they would like. Once you get the offer from them you add your commission to it and tell the seller your deal. That's a ruff draft of my understanding. What kind of real estate are you involved in?

Hey everyone! My name is Justin and pretty new to real estate. Right now I'm interested in getting into mortgage note brokering and networking in general. Ultimately I would like to have rental properties such as apartment complexes, and multi and single family homes. Well, hope to meet some great people and start networking. Thanks
