Thanks for the feedback. My wife and I both have demanding careers and are raising an incredibly energetic 15-month old, so we both agreed that, at least initially, we'd bring on a property management company. The end goal will be eventually to take this over ourselves. Todd - we're looking at 2-4 bed, 1-2 bath <2000SF single family home.
Hello, I have just begun to start searching for my first investment property in the NW Twin Cities metro. I'm curious what property management companies in the Twin Cities area BP members have had good luck with? What about bad experiences; are there any companies you would avoid? Also, what are general fees (monthly, tenant placement, etc). Thanks, Austin

Hello, I have just began to start searching for my first investment property in the NW Twin Cities metro. While I've done a lot of research and feel comfortable accounting for expenses while vetting properties, I haven't done a ton of research and on how to estimate what I could charge for rent. To this point, I've been using Craig's List, Zillow, Rentometer, and property management listings (i.e Renter's Warehouse) to estimate rent. Looking for what has worked well for more experienced investors to ensure I'm accurately forecasting. Thanks, Austin

Hello Bigger Pockets! My name is Austin, and my wife and I are looking to start our journey into real estate investing by purchasing our first investment property in the northwest Twin Cities metro in the fall of this year. This is a new endeavor for us, so the unknown is certainly nerve-wracking (more-so for my wife than me). I've spend the better part of this year reading numerous real estate investing books and listening to 200+ BP podcasts. I feel like I've reached the point where I've armed myself with all I can and need to start taking action. We'll definitely be active on the forums as we look for advice. We're extremely excited to connect with all of you! Austin
