Thanks for the reply.

Not really.  I would say within an hour of Atlanta.  Where is the one you have in mind?

Thanks Tom. Saw some on MLS but also want to pursue the other avenues.

Hello. I am an agent here in Atlanta.  I have a client who is looking for a 3-4plex in the Atlanta area.  Where on Biggerpockets.com is the best place to get some response from wholasalers?

Hello Andrea.  I am an Agent here in Atlanta.  I would be more than happy to help you out with finding properties here in Atlanta.  I currently have one out of state investor that I am acting as a middle man for.  I took care of all cleaning/repair work for his tax deed property and now have it listed.  It would be sold already if the county didn't mess up the title.  And Im always looking for good investment properties so let me know if you are still looking for any assistance.  Thanks.

Thank you everyone for the welcomes and the suggestions and information.

@Bob Dreher I lived in Honokowai for 10 years, managed the Fish Market Maui for 6 years, maybe we did cross paths.  What I would give to be sitting at Leilani's right now!

@Jeremy Baker

HI Jeremy.

Good luck with your goal.  I to would like to eventually be able to invest in Maui again someday.  Let me know if you are interested, I still have a good network of friends there, Agents, builders, Management.

@Chaz Reid

So far so good.  Love the Southern Hospitality and the Amazing food options.  But really looking forward to Summer, I still have that Maui Sun Blood in me.

@Andrew Cordle

Thanks for the welcome. I would like to learn of the REIA's you can recommend to me. I have never been to one so it sounds great.

Hello BP community.  My name is Jimmy Clark and I am a Licensed Real Estate Agent here in Atlanta.  I moved here about 1 1/2 years ago from Maui, Hawaii in which I spent 10 years there.  Nope, I wasn't in the military, just ended up staying after I moved to help a friend start up a real estate publication.  I decided to move to Atlanta to pursue a real estate career, as well as be closer to my family.  We are all getting older and it just felt like the right time.  Atlanta seemed like a good choice, plenty of people and options in real estate.  I can tell you there are no 30K rehab houses in Maui!  The cheapest house in my neighborhood started at $350K, and that was about 1000SQFT of shack.

So I was able to have my Hawaii license reciprocated here in Georgia, and have been in the sales hustle since Jan. of 2014.  I really love being in real estate but my goal is to not just be an agent, but to be an investor.  I truly enjoy creating, so the thought of finding, fixing and flipping a house is a dream to me.  I am constantly looking at houses and looking for deals.  I know I have the vision, just need the knowledge and education.  I tell myself "oh, if I only had $50K cash I could easily make some money on a deal."  I now know it is not that easy.

I hope that this site can bring me to a stage in my life that I put down the RE agent hat and put and keep on the RE Investor hat.  I want to be a sponge, i am ready to learn, ready to invest my time and sweat to make it happen.  I look forward to talking to and learning from this BP community.

Thanks.

Jimmy
