@Mike Lambert - Thank you, Mike. I have a lot to digest. I see you're in Europe as well. Any parts with an island vibe that you would suggest?

Hi @Michael Baum, Thank you for your response. The boat and short-term rental (STR) are definitely separate projects. The boat will come after the STR. A small value-add resort that offers boat rides would be ideal. I love Costa Rica and will definitely look into that. I love the idea of adding value to a small resort. I'll start looking for some value add micro-resorts.

Hi Team,

I'm looking for recommendations on the best established and up-and-coming spots to purchase a turnkey rental or buy land and build from scratch in Central and South America. I have a particular interest in islands, as my long-term goal is to captain a catamaran and offer tours for snorkeling, sunset cruises, etc.

I'm interested in places that offer great ROI without being overly expensive. I'm also open to investing in emerging areas and putting in the effort to develop the property.

Thank you in advance for your time and energy.

I am genuinely amazed by the overwhelming support and advice received. Thank you all tremendously for your valuable time, expertise, and, above all, the positive energy evident in your responses.

I'm leaning towards initiating my real estate journey with the "owner occupy" approach, focusing on multifamily properties with value-add potential. The plan is to gradually expand my portfolio, incorporating mid-term rentals and beyond.

I'm thrilled about connecting with all of you, and if there's ever an opportunity for me to assist you on your journey, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Cheers to a promising journey ahead!

Greetings Fellow REIs,

I took the plunge into REI approximately three months ago and have been immersing myself in learning ever since. While I have some liquid cash on hand to kickstart my journey, I'm keen on optimizing my resources.

Initially, my strategy revolves around engaging in fix-and-flip projects to generate capital, with the goal of transitioning into mid-term rentals. I'm currently exploring opportunities in both the Southern California and mid-east markets.

Another consideration on my radar is the prospect of "Owner Occupying" my inaugural multifamily home in San Diego, with plans to expand my portfolio from there.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights from those with experience in the field. Thank you in advance for your guidance!
