Basically all your thoughts investing in the FL Sun and specially in Naples Area good plan 

There is a shortage on affordable rental living for locals. All depends on the area and community in Naples . With a good location 2/2 condo you can reach the High Season Snowbird Tenants.

Joe, I picked Collier County 10 years ago , while coming from Germany . 
It all worked out perfectly with a  Family home  in NorthNaples A- school district with close by resortstyle communities .

Check Arthrex as a NN located great company.
Naples has a very unique RE Market, high demand coming from Seasonal Second home owners and full time living families. Highly desired Rental Market, great lifestyle . I never regrets living & investing here.
