@Dan Desmond

So, I'm a pretty fair guy. I will report the good, as well as the bad about any situation I'm involved in.  I can appreciate your quoted comment:

"We apologize that you've had some trouble getting set up to use PayNearMe. Our support team should have been more proactive in requesting the required documentation from you. Hopefully, we have everything we need to move forward, and you'll be able to start using PayNearMe."

But when the rubber meets the road, your team isn't delivering.  This is business day 6 for a 2 day process.  I would like more than anything to be using your service "effectively like the thousands of other property managers across the country."  I'm frustrated because your product could fix a very specific problem for me, and because you've got highly regarded folks at BP carrying the flag for you, yet fail to deliver.

No need to respond - just get it done and get me signed up, please.

Update on this.  2 hours after I posted this, I magically received an email telling me that they needed more information.  Information, I had already provided, mind you.  I sent an explanation, and then I started calling around to see if the Family Dollar locations near my house and near the property were taking Paynearme.  The girl at one location said she never heard of it.  The girl at the other location said that they didn't take it, but another location 15 miles away did...

Back to the drawing board.

Anyone have any suggestions on other cash payment services?

This is a bump on an old, but relevant thread.

I started the process a couple of weeks ago by requesting information, and never got a phone call, or email reply back from anyone.  The phone number posted goes to a voice mail box which appears to not be monitored.  I've left a few messages.

I actually completed the application process over the weekend, and was advised that their verification process takes 2 business days - even though I supplied all of the information they requested, and sent them bank statements as they required.  I've received auto-responses from "Dan Desmond" at paynearme at every turn.   We're on business day #4.

I'm beginning to wonder if I made a mistake sending all of this data seemingly into a black hole?

Give 123landlord a look.  I'm using it for 2 of my properties just to put it through it's paces, and it's doing ok so far.  Best part is the price - free!  For now...  The rates beyond that don't seem unreasonable, comparatively speaking.

@Scott Stevens

One more thing - kinda goes without saying.  There are no more account establishment fees after the initial one.

Not sure if this will be of help to you, but Georgia Power has a program for Landlords/Property Managers.  ( I literally signed up for this yesterday)   You pay once to get the power turned on, and sign the landlord agreement.  Every time a tenant moves in, the tenant turns on power in their name, and the bill comes out of yours.  Every time a tenant moves out, it goes back into your name automatically.  It ABSOLUTELY requires that you stay on top of your tenants and make sure that they activate power on the move in date, and that you watch your bill to determine if they disconncted power while still occupying the property.

Go to georgiapower.com - click on for business, scroll down - click on services for property managers.

hope that helps.
