Do developers work with other developers in a project? If so what is an example? One developer brings in the financing for the project, the other one brings some private capital from investors, the other one brings a good land deal, and so on?

Is it possible to partner up in a big development deal with other/s big developer/s by for example bringing capital? How could you, as a starting-out developer can bring value to bigger developers on big deals? What are some ways you could be in a project with them?
