Hey guys,

I’m looking for some serious cash buyers in the Atlanta area who are looking for distressed properties. Renovations range from light to heavy. Please reach out to me via email at [email protected]

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some flippers in the West Georgia area to potentially partner with and learn from. I'm brand new to REI and trying to build my network of people. This network has been incredible supportive and helpful in the short time I've been a part of it. Thank you all!

Hi @Arthur Parker

Welcome to BP! Rich Dad & The Millionaire Nextdoor were the two most influential books that led me to REI. Figure out your goals before you dive in. If you know where you're going then you will make decisions that move you there. The second thing is to start. Avoid analysis paralisys, get your team together, and dive in.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for the knowledge and feedback!

learn learn learn and always be humble. Try to get to know as many people as possible and just let them teach you the sauce. Don't try to be creative and change the methodology of tried and tested strategies until you have some skillsets under your tool belt. Glad to have you!

Good information! Do you know a good place to find local mentors?

Rich Dad Poor Dad great place to start. I have also read several books from bigger pockets and consistently listen to their podcasts. For you, I recommend doing the same. I would lay out all your options for real estate investing and pursue one. House hacking (FHA loan to buy multi family, ect) great way to start. Lastly, be prepared to make sacrifices along the way. Avoid shiny object syndrome, live below your means, have a plan.

Best of luck !

Thank you for the reply!

Always keep an open mind when it comes to plans and strategies.  Set realistic goals by writing them down and looking at them all the time for yourself both short term and long term.  Tell your goals to someone who will keep you accountable and write down steps you need to take or obstacles you need to overcome to reach the goals.

Brandon Turner put a good acronym in one of his books MINS = Most Important Next Step!  Live by it!

Thank you! I appreciate the tips.

Hello everyone!

My name is Arthur Parker and I’m located in the west Georgia area. I’ve decided to start investing in my future in hopes of getting out of my 7-5 rat race. I recently read Rich Dad Poor Dad and have been on a book reading spree the past month trying to gain knowledge in the realm of real estate investing. Any first time investor tips out there?
