They did have the info on lawyers who are involved in the properties. Not sure if it's a good idea to contact them.

Went to the clerks office and couldn't find anything there. Most properties don't have the addresses where the current owner lives or where the taxes are being sent to. That's what I was told by the clerks office.

Hey guys, drove around my area and found a few vacant houses. Wrote down the addresses and looked them up on the county website but can't seem to get a hold of their current info. Any ideas how one can approach these owners?

Hey guys. Looked at a raised ranch 4bed 2bath house in Beacon, New York. It's 2,350 sqft and corner lot. Needs minor work such as flooring, paint and kitchen remodel. Has finished basement with minor repairs. House was listed as an estate sale for $220k. Then they dropped it to $205k. I offered $150k which they accepted with 30 day closing. Taxes on the property are about $6600. Comps in the area for similar houses range from 250-275k. Anyone has any experience in the Hudson valley region that can tell me whether it's a good deal? Still have to get rehab costs which I hope to get by next week. Also good for a flip or keep as rental? Thanks

Thank you for your responses. Definitely not in the market to compete yet. Just getting my feet wet and seeing what is popular in my area. Hope to get help down the road from this forum as I take this journey. Thank you again.

Hey guys, just joined this forum and I am glad I did. Currently in the 9-5 rat race and going to school as well. Flipping has always been my passion since I have been doing it since 14 years old (turned 22 a few days ago). It started with electronics on eBay and craigslist and slowly moved to flipping cars. I did good for myself and now I am eager to learn about real estate investing. Currently looking for deals in Upstate, New York. Also trying out wholesaling but no luck yet. Hope to get in touch with all of you and learn new things. Thank You.
