@Ben Zimmerman

We as individuals are our own worst critic, and that something I need to shy away from doing.

@Chris Latham

Thanks for the advise!  I am pretty set on starting with property rehab and flips, but then again that may not be my best option.  I seen getting into rental property maybe a year or two after I start flipping single family houses.

@Kuba F.

I have done my research on the locations which I am looking to start investing, read many books, listened to podcast, webinars, and seminars.  I have even attended property auctions.  I am able to find a lot of great deals, just haven't pulled the trigger on any of them.  I know I wan to use a hard money lender to start this process as I do not have much capital saved.  But is this is best option?

The point which I'm stuck at is what is the actual first step? (i.e. get a CPA/lawyer, create an entity, get my contractors set up, find a hard money lender)

@Michael Williams

I think whats stopping me is that I'm trying to figure out what that proper "first steps" is, besides the educational aspect or should I say analysis paralysis.

I keep questioning myself, "am I ready to take the first step and invest in my first property?" What is one ready to take that first step?

I think a lot of investors, myself included get stuck on the "research" aspect.  But at what point does one put the endless research into motion and turn their learnings into action?
