Doing some research regarding the cities I'm planning to dive in for out of state investment property and came across these articles. Any tips when investing in cities with drug problem?

https://www.monarchshores.com/drug-addiction/10-cities-with-worst-drug-problems

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/10/how-ohio-is-coping-with-high-opioid-overdose-rate-slamming-its-economy.html

Thanks!

Not sure if you have 401k from your current job . Maybe taking a loan from it plus your savings will help you fund your real estate.

I just did a hard hat tour of The Warren in Dublin at the Bridge Park development. There is a lot of money going into all of Columbus. Central Ohio is projected to get to 3 million by 2050 (see below article). I am bullish on all of Columbus for REI. I believe it is smart to buy and hold anywhere in or near Columbus.

 Good info

Welcome to BP community! I'm investing to myself first at this point by reading books, listening to podcast, attending webinars , analyzing deals , saving some $$$ and studying the areas I will potentially dive into since I joined BP. So far it's helping me gain confidence and learning the in and outs of REI. Giving myself a good 6 months of education and will pull the trigger early 2020 . I heard good things about Columbus and its actually under my radar.

GL brother! Hope that helps from a fellow newbie.
