Hi everyone! I'm very passionate about real estate and I've been an investor for over 7 years. I've flirted with the idea of quitting my day job to dive into real estate, but I haven't been able to take the plunge. I live in Washington near Bellevue. I'm interested in working part-time in some capacity in the industry. Any suggestions on which angle is in demand currently (escrow agents/mortgage brokers/ real estate brokers/appraiser/mortgage loan officer)? I would love to work alongside people who are currently in the industry to network and get my feet wet. I would like to keep my stable day job for now, until I'm able to transition fully into the industry. Although I work Monday-Friday 8-5, I'm constantly reading/listening/looking at real estate in my spare time, and I'm ready to commit fully to a part-time RE career. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, BPers! ☺

Hi Kevin,

Do you still hold the meetings in Tacoma?

If so, when is the next one?

Thanks!

Welcome to BP. It sounds like you've already got some good advice from the local community. Im actively marketing multi families  to wholesale, send me a PM about your criteria and Ill see what I can find.

Also as @Brandon Turner mentioned, I do cohost a local meet up of BP members in the Tacoma area. We would be more than happy to have you come out when you get to town.

Best Regards

Hi everyone!

I'm focused on multi-family complexes and I will be doing 1031s every 3-5 years.

Can anyone tell me how much it is to keep a realtor license active annually in Washington state?

I would primarily like to get it for my personal investment use; but id also love to help like-minded investors purchase properties part-time.

Would it be worth me obtaining a license?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks
