Hello Sergey, I am heading to Beale in about 5 months and was also looking in the Marysville area. I wanted to know if you were ever able to have any follow-up experience to this post?

I’m About a week late on my Introduction.. but I have been digging myself into everything RE and I can feel the passion brewing in me already! I’m a complete newbie who has spent 8 years stationed in Japan, and hopes to hit the ground running when I move back stateside in March, to begin my investment journey. I’m currently reading Brandon Turner’s “The Book in Rental Property Investing” and it’s so hard to put it down! I also went all the way back to Podcast Episode #1 and listen to about 2-3 episodes a day. There is so much information out there and I appreciate all of those out there that look to educate/mentor newbies like myself. I can’t speak for everyone, but just know, I appreciate you all. @David Pere I am currently only able to browse since I am still overseas. I plan to hit the ground running when I make it to my next base and learn as much about the areas. I have been talking with people I know that are currently living in the area and trying to get an idea of the market around, as well as comparing prices to other properties that have sold or are currently for sale in the area. I plan to use my VA loan, as well.

Hey...complete noob here looking to get my feet wet with investment rentals. I’m currently stationed in Japan but headed to America in March. My Fiancé and I are hoping to get started in house hacking for our first property, however, looks like we might be headed to Northern California. I have been using Zillow to get an idea of what’s available. But looks like $500-$600k is the going rate for 3-5 unit properties. I’m wondering if this a smart first investment opportunity or should we go much smaller, Or even just single family in the time being?
