I did figure out Taskrabbit isn't in my area interestingly enough. I'll definitely take another look at Thumbtack & FB groups!

Thanks :)

what kind of odd jobs? We offer cohosting and we are also in NC. Do you mean like a handyman?

I have a camera that's offline that needs to be reset manually as of right now, but pretty soon I'm looking to have a couple things delivered/set up at the house. I'm also looking to flesh out my network of a trust-worthy handyman and plumber for sure. Any suggestions?

Hi! I'm Arijana I'm just joining the game of REI in Coastal NC. I closed on my first property & shifted from a LTR to a STR/MTR at the end of December. Put up my first listing and am looking to coordinate a team in the area. I'm primarily looking for someone who can complete odd jobs in home for me while I'm not there. Any suggestions?

A medium-term rental is still a long-term rental. Someone made up a name so they could get subscribers to their YouTube channel and sell a book.

Treat MTR like a long-term rental. Market in the same places. Screen applicants. Take a deposit. Use a strong lease that complies with LTR laws.

Strongly disagree.

Yes your leasing, screening, and deposit is similar but marketing and operations are much closer to a hotel or STR than LTR.

Out of nearly 1,000 mid-term reservations this year across my portfolio, I have not gotten a single reservation from zillow, apartments.com, or craigslist.

Mid term rental guests are not looking at those sites. Furnish finder, booking.com, Airbnb and VRBO are your best bet for Mid-term.

You'll also want to have a direct booking site to build a relationship with insurance companies, hospitals, and travel agencies.

Do you mean build your own booking site or use like booking.com etc for this purpose. Also if you're reaching out to insurance companies/hospitals are you looking for contact info for them or how would you go about that?
