I'd like to try with SFH too, but I'll need to search for a good deal as well. it's just knowing the route to take is a little overwhelming, But thank you for your feedback!

Good morning all, I am just starting out with RE investing.... Learning, reading, researching etc  at this current time.  I do not have lots of money saved up, but I am saving every month and preparing myself. I am gearing towards my first duplex. My question is to you...If you had to do it again the first time, would you invest in a duplex?

l am looking to shadow any new residential construction or flips in the Lake Charles, La area (surroundings areas) if possible. I mainly just wanna learn as much as I can. I understand it can either be a hit or miss with a builder/contractor, but just inquiring. Thanks

Hey there! Yes it can be a little intimidating, I know For me that is. It’s a lot of information to cover. I believe if we can take small steps, it’ll lead us to bigger things and so on. Ill check out his books on here. Yes I agree, can’t wait! 😉 good luck to you as well! We will get there!

Hi Sean! Thank you for replying. You have given some some great tips to start with. I am enrolled in a Gen Contractor’s seminar. It lasts two month. I am trying to retain as much information as possible. I did email two developers in city, but no one got back with me. I will for sure keep trying though! Thank you ☺️

My goal is to purchase my first property by the end of next year. I am just starting out (34yrs old) I do not have a lot of money, however, I am saving. Problem is, I have no idea where to start. Should I buy and fix up, then sell, out rent out? I have read, research, etc...any advice/information is appreciated! My dream to is to become a property developer. That will be awhile from now, but I want to educate myself as much as possible.
