Post: Help with private investing and BRRR strategy

Hi all. My specific situation is the following. Me and a partner want to use the BRRR strategy using private investors. We both have secure good jobs and decent credit scores. Some money in the bank to afford a 25% down payment for a loan from a bank on a rental property, but we dont want to take loan from bank due to BRRR strategy. We are looking to buy a house for 40- 50 grand and rehab it, get it reassessed by bank and refinance and take loan out on value of house. We do not want to take initial loan from bank because then they won't reassess

We have no connections for private investing, does anyone know where to find private investors?  Iv'e found some websites that have lending platforms for real estate investors, has anyone done this?  Any tips on which sites or platforms or good or any help in general would be great thank you!

Ok thank you,  I thought at this point it would have been listed in  "Bid Results" on their site.

Hi all, I am currently getting into hud home investing.

I understand that there is an owner occupancy period where they can only bid.  That submission deadline was 3/30/2017 @ Midnight.  Period deadline was 4/4/2017 so I cannot bid till after 4/4 cause I am an investor.

I logged on the following morning (today 3/31) and the house was still there with a reset 3 day timer at about 2 hours and 16 minutes. Checked backed about an hour later and the listing is completely gone, if I check for bid results there is no listing in that zip code. MLS still has it listed as active/ what the heck happened? Did this home go and they just didnt update their site as an offer accepted?

Hi Bryant, I really need some expert advice here because I personally don't have many people to ask. I've been studying RE investing and following bigger pockets for quite some time now. I have my mind completely set on buying Duplexs/Triplexs or SFH in my area and renting them out and managing them myself. I'm 23 years old with a Full time job with pretty decent income over 50k.

I just have enough saved to afford a down payment on a decent duplex/triplex, but I am looking to currently take a mortgage out for the small cheap house I have been paying rent for through college. I am afraid to take this mortgage out, will I then not be approved for a second mortgage if this initial house im living in is valued at 60,000 and I use a mortgage for myself?

School debt is all paid off and my only payments would go towards my car and this small house and I could afford monthly payments on a initial investment property mortgage but will banks not accept me because I will have my own mortgage out soon? Any advice?
