This morning, while doing my ride for dollars run, I spotted a property that I have a question about. I think it's an REO. There were letters attaced to the door/window that said the following:

1) House found abandoned.

2) The property has been winterized.

What steps do I take to find out more/secure the property. I'd like  to live in it, and eventually sell or rent. 

Thanks Roger. I researched some and knew some going in how they would go about. I'm only doing the 3 day tease, any additional knowledge gained will be considered a plus. But not doing the additional programs...I hear they can be $25K+.

Recently started reading beginner material, signed up for Than Merrill's 3 day boot camp, and made my 1st REIA meeting last week. Looking to start with Wholesaling, and may want to turn my home into a rental property.
