Thanks Ian. I'm asking about the top states regarding the number of tax liens recorded  per year. What matters to me are the bidding methods (eg. Do all states have online bidding?) and which states are "buyer friendly" for acquiring TLCs.

Concerning average number per state, what are the top states for buying tax lien certificates? Which states yield the most interest on a certificate?

Hi Tom! Thanks for your reply.  I'm looking at flipping but I'm also interested in single family homes; preferably a duplex.  Starting from the ground floor, I'm okay with taking "baby steps" as I go along.
