Im a new realtor and aspiring investor. How can i find a mentor willing to work with me ?

Hey @Anthony Benoit, welcome to the BP Forum! What type of properties are you looking to add to your portfolio? SF, 2-4 MF, or 5+ MF? And what is your price point and are you looking for turn-key properties or something along the lines of a "fixer upper"? Are you looking in Charlotte?

I've always wanted a quadplex but i dont own any real estate yet so i wanted to start with a SF. Im also pretty handy so i was thinking maybe BRRRR or Fix and flip to get started. I am in the charlotte area looking to get started here and also have started working with 2 investors looking to fix and flip single families here as well but only wanting off market deals

Hey @Anthony Benoit! I assume something like this is more than you want to tackle for a 1st quadplex (https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/241-W-King...), but what about this SF for a BRRR (https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/2101-Arapa...)?

i have seen that quadplex on the market for a while and yea it is definitely more than i would like to tackle right now but i think i could possibly make that SF work thank you for the recommendations

Welcome!

I'd start with filling out your profile here a bit more- we can't tell what market you are in.

Wherever you are, there will be REI meetups and you should start networking there. I'd suggest not paying anyone for mentorship. Typically people charging for that service are doing it because they need the money...if you catch my drift.

People in your market who are doing well want to network with new, hungry people and lift them up.

You could also check what Realtors in your market are preferred agents here on BP- they should have at least a little experience with investing and a network built up.

Best of luck!

Thank you so much this helps a lot !

Im a newly licensed realtor in both TX and NC looking to get started in real estate investing myself. I joined in hopes of getting into my first deal in this upcoming year and making the connections that will help me achieve that
