Sergey Vasylkov I'm in Austin and was pre-approved for about the same amount you were and have the same strategy to house hack my first property. Unfortunately, as you may know, this amount will not go far in Austin. You'll have to focus on finding off market deals in order to get into a multifamily property. Another solution would be to look in the surrounding cities like Georgetown, CP, and Kyle. Good luck with your search!

Welcome Jordan! We are in the same boat. I decided to pursue real estate (part time) while I work a full time job. As another poster mentioned, reading the beginners guide will be a great start. Also listening to podcast and reading the forum can increase your knowledge fast. Good luck with your RE career!

Hello real estate gurus and newbies!

My name is Anthony Brown and I am ready to take the jump into the great world of real estate. I would categorize myself right now as an aspiring buy and hold investor with goals of producing a steady stream of income. To achieve this goal I would like to purchase several multi family units (while also picking up a couple SFH along the way). The Austin market is pretty crazy right now so I'm looking at other Texas markets for potential investments.

My name is Anthony Brown and I am a new member to biggerpockets. I'm originally from Austin TX but I currently reside in San Angelo TX. I work full time as an assistant at a oil and gas company and I'm also a full time student at Angelo State University working towards a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). I love sports (I'm a former football player) and meeting new people. I'm still leaning my way around the site and forum, but the site seems to be a great knowledge tool. I'm hoping to get involved with real estate, specifically rental properites, once I accumulate enough capital.
