Hello everyone!

My name is Farah. I started my  investing journey in real estate in 2020 and managed to acquire a couple of multi family homes. I am looking to learn more about buying out of state and doing quick small flips and purchasing properties to rent to section 8. Looking forward to being part of this amazing community ❤️

Invest in the wonderful town of Columbus, OH. Home to The Ohio State University with nearly 60,000 students, 5 Fortune 500 companies, over +25% population change since 2000, and the 2016 smart city challenge award winner (https://www.columbus.gov/smartcity/). Furthermore, Intel is spending 20 Billion dollars to build two semiconductor plants, and many more great things presently and coming in the future. Needless to say, Columbus will remain a strong real estate market for the foreseeable future.

Hello BP!

I’m a newbie in CA and looking to jump into the Real Estate Investing game. I’m looking into investing into some Midwest States (Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illionois and open to others), but does anyone deal with the Pittsburgh market at all? Is it a good one to invest in?

Hello, Bigger Pockets!

I’m in the process of interviewing investor-friendly real estate agents in the Columbus, OH area.

I'm looking to purchase 3- to 8- unit multifamily properties/SFH for value-add and buy and hold opportunities.

Does anybody have any referrals that I can interview? Thank you!

I have been building my S8 rental portfolio in Suffolk county, NY. To find a rental that you can BRRRR in my market is nearly impossible.

For this reason and to be able to scale my portfolio, I’ve started looking out of my market.

Has anyone identified an emerging market where you can BRRRR while cash flowing on S8 rentals?

Quote from @Weston Hunter:

Hello,

I've been listening to podcast/reading all about rental properties and I think the time has come to give it a go. I live East of Columbus, OH and have been looking for single family or small duplexes in the area. Columbus market is a little out of my price range, but I was thinking about investing in the Newark, OH area.

I was wondering if anyone had any information, they could share about their experience in the past year or two. It seems all the post I have read on here are older and I'm not sure if conditions are still the same. Are rentals a good idea in this area? There is a lot of business being built and I feel as if it will drive people out East. Any information that could be passed along would be greatly appreciated!

It's definitely a good time to invest in Central Ohio. Google purchased nearly 100 acres in Pataskala and I believe that will drive further housing development in the area. The areas between Reynoldsburg and Newark will look a lot different in 10 years
