Hi All,

I am in the processing of obtaining a duplex in Feeding Hills, MA and I am looking for a reliable contractor. Ideally I would like for them to cover the initial cost then do the draw down from the lender (was told this is possible). Any insight you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Foreclosure purchase - Refinanced & Hold for short term rental.

@Dave Poeppelmeier firstly CONGRATULATIONS to you and your wife. Secondly you are speaking directly to me as I am on a similar path to the one you've taken to get where you are. I got my 1st rental property with my 401k less the penalties and I am also a licensed RE agent 1 year in. I also want to retire from my job, I have given myself 4 years (My date is August 30, 2024). Some days are harder than others trying to figure things out. But post like this gives me renewed hope the all things are working for my good. I just came on BP to do more research and your post hit me square in the face. I needed this today so again congrats and thank you for being a vessel of hope of perseverance.

@Marvin Bobb We currently use Rentler (the free version) I think there is a paid version not sure. But we've been using it for over a year for 4 units.

@Dona Fogle I know this is old but I currently have a property under contract in Clermont FL similar to this. As a result, I have a few questions 1) Do you mind sharing with my privately your lender. 2) What made you decide to list the property vs. doing a short term or long term rental?
