Great tip Jason.  I would not have thought of that!  Thanks,

Thanks Martha!!  Will contact you.

Interesting Ethan.  I know they cost quite a bit of money too.  Where will you post your property, loopnet, bigger pockets??

What are some great interview questions to use when trying to find best broker to sell your multi-family building outside the standard following:

- What experience do you have in selling this type and size of property and in this area?

- How do you market your properties?

- What differentiates you from other brokers in this market?

Thanks!

Post: Property Tax Appeals

What have you found to be the best ammo when trying to appeal property taxes on a multi-unit building?  I have an 11 unit building in Beaufort County NC that is valued at $800k.  There are no similar upgraded apt buildings like this in the area so can't really find comps.  I used similar sized buildings that have been converted to Bed and Breakfasts - there are 3 similar properties that have values of $500k to  $550k.  They are valuing the property at the purchase price $800k.  I see on the tax records for this county that there have been several properties that have had taxes reduced.  Any ideas or info on your experience would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
