It really means the world to me. An update, I am now 22 hours into the podcasts, and have read 2 books this week so far. Definitely looking for two mentors, one online or through messaging and calls, an outsider with a new perspective. And a local mentor, who has achieve the success I am aiming for and can help me out when I fall on my face or deviate from the tracks. This site is WONDERFULL. I'm anxious to network as much as possible, if you're in Omaha Nebraska, and successful in real estate I want to talk to you! Thanks again Steve, Micheal, and Ethan. You guys will be seeing a lot more of me. This summer is going to be one to remember.

Thanks for all the kind words and welcoming. I'm usually the go getter guy that gets things done and a very hands on learner. I figured if I could go from the lowest offered position at my company, to then an average production worker, then caught a lucky break and showed a manager my welding skill, became a welder, and nearly the lead of my department with word of becoming supervisor... All in 6 months. I'm sure if I set my mind to it and just engulf my being into this wonderful business I'll chop my time for the learning curve significantly and be well on my way to building my dreams. If anyone knows some Omaha, Nebraska real estate guys on here who have some experience in the rehabbing and rental property areas, along with wholesaling. I'd work my tail off to help them out through their endeavors as much as possible to learn as much as I can first hand. This is an awesome community. At first I thought I found it by accident and it was luck. But things are starting to fall into place now and the speed has picked up for me. I can offer a lot of outside perspectives and opinions on things. And I just love to share and bounce ideas around. My plan is to wholesale initially to raise capital for my first property... Get into a live in/flip duplex and rent out the other side... And then focus on rehabbing and flipping. I know what good work looks like and am a huge believer in spending a little more to make it done right and done nicely to avoid fixing the same problem over and over again. I've also always had a knack and passion for interior design and colors and layouts. That would be my passion, and then having rental properties later on to generate some cash flow and build wealth. They say the sky is the limit depending on how hard you want to work. I would like to test these limits and go as high as possible and help as many people along the way. I'm not the guy looking for a quick buck, I'm the guy who wants to be known for doing it the right way and a solid guy to trust and invest in. Thank you all! I'll be talking to as much of you as possible. I'm ALWAYS eager to learn, find a mentor, shadow, find deals. It all takes time and self education but I am more than happy to learn and help.

New to the forum. Figured I would listen to all podcasts, read as many posts as possible, as well as reading books personally day in and day out before I hop on here and ask a ton of questions that have already been answered somewhere. A bit about myself, I'm originally from Whittier, California (planning to go back in the next few years) currently residing in Omaha, Nebraska... What a change, right? 20 years young, nearly finished with my welding degree, and currently a welder for Lozier Corporation. A lot of people on here talk about working backwards, that's what I've kind of had in mind for a long time. Welding is my plan B, I became skilled at it early on and got convinced by my family to do it in college. I saw it as, getting my plan B secured while I learn as much about plan A (Real Estate) as humanly possible while I save. I've always been interested in houses, architecture, seeing a transformation, and the potential for massive success Real Estate can offer. I understand wealth is built over time and by no means expect to be rich tomorrow. I am just starting and educating myself as early on as possible because the best times to invest are today, and yesterday. I would just like to keep learning as much as possible and network with people in the area in efforts to find a mentor who sees my potential, motivation, and relentless persistence. Thank you all for the read, seems like an awesome place for like minded individuals, and some "get rich quick" dreamers I see who will fall out on their own when they see it takes more than 2 weeks to do something. I'm a very friendly, outgoing, people person, and bilingual (reading, writing, and speaking) so feel free to shoot me a message or anything really. all advice is appreciated and I'll continue to listen and read up everyday
