Welcome to Bigger Pockets! You have a great group of people on this platform. Also, the BP events are a great way to connect with like-minded people, especially the Houston BP community. I'm bias. lol. Good luck!

I'm late to the party!!! I joined a few months ago but never introduced myself. I started going to BP events and have met other investors. I'm a real estate and business attorney in Texas. My first real estate investment was about $1000 (this was post- 2008 recession) which I purchased at a foreclosure tax sale in Florida. Fast forward, now I'm in Texas and still learning about real estate. It's a never-ending process but I enjoy every minute of it. I also enjoy teaching what I know and answering any questions.

Hello Ebony!

Welcome to BP. Learn Learn Learn but also do do do. When I first started out. I tried to learn by shadowing but unfortunately, I didn't get a mentor so instead, I read books and join groups. Then I purchased my first property. I bought a really small property so it helped with costs. Good luck!

1. 🌎 Where you’re based + where you (hope to) invest: I'm in Texas and I invest in Texas.

2. 💫 What your goals are with joining BiggerPockets (e.g. buy my first house hack). I want to learn how others have done it and also help with problem solving. There's alot to learn from how others have done things.

3. 🤪 A fun fact about yourself. I love to garden. I grow alot of heirloom fruits and veggies.

Purchase another property, expense if you can before the end of the year.

Quote from @John Curtis Jr:

I'm looking for recommendations for a good attorney to possibly write or review a RE Subject To Wholesale deal or Wrap.

What's your price point? I know a real estate attorney in SFO. They charge about $650 hourly.

I agree with some of the above comments. When I travel, I sometimes want to be close to the airport just because I have to wake up early and catch an Uber. You would be selling convenience if you were near the airport.
