Post: New to real estate investing in MA/CT

Hey Everyone,

I am new to the real estate investing world in northern Connecticut and western Massachusetts. I was hoping to see if there were any investors or wholesalers around the area that I could potentially bird dog for and maybe learn the ropes that way while I can build some can reserves to get into my first rental property or flip.

Also looking to network in the area and see if anyone could kind of give me some pointers on where to start. Have been researching real estate pretty heavily for the last 2 years while I save money to buy my first deal.

If anyone has some advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi everyone, looking to see if anyone has had any experience with Virtual Realty Group. Been doing some research and was thinking of joining.

They offer the full online back office, HR, marketing, training, etc. They also let you keep 100% commission with just a flat fee per deal.

Seems to be like a good place to join. Mainly looking to just do my own deals. Was also looking at eXp, but every time I talk to someone they really push the recruitment part and it gives me the MLM feel. Could be wrong but that's what I got from the people I talked to.

Anyone have any opinions on either of these?

Hi Everyone,

New to investing in buy and hold rentals in Central and Western Mass. Was just looking to see what areas people are having success in. I was looking to purchase in Westfield or maybe Springfield, but from what I've seen Springfield can be tough depending on area. Also maybe looking at Northampton area as well.

Anyone have any opinions on those areas or the surrounding areas?

Post: Starting a career as a commercial agent

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in starting a career as a commercial real estate agent. I'm about to be finished with getting my license. I also have about a year and half of expenses saved up to anticipate for the lack of sales in the beginning.

Also to give a little bit more about my background, I currently sell commercial insurance so I deal a lot with B2B sales and working with business owners. I've also started and sold a couple business as well.

I was curious if anyone has any advice on starting my journey to become a commercial real estate agent or just any tips to help me along the way.

Thanks in advance.
