Hi guys! My wife and I are just getting started with real estate and are curious what to look for when it comes to investing in a new market. We are going to be doing long distance BRRR investing, as we currently live in Los Angeles and we want to stretch our dollars further. The plan right now is to nail down a specific area we'd like to invest in and then find our "Core Four" there to get the ball rolling. Thanks in advance!

Thank you all for your insight and feedback. I have considered using an FHA loan and buying multiple units, my fear is that I would not be approved for enough to be able to make a purchase in the LA area, but I guess I will have to wait and see when I get there. If that doesn't work out, the turnkey investment option is very intriguing. Does anyone have any advice on how to choose a turnkey company to work with and some important things to look for? Thanks!

Hello all!  I am a new member living in Oxford, AL.  I graduate nursing school in less than a week and I am wanting to get started investing as soon as possible.  I have been working throughout my career as a student and have saved up a fair sum of money, and also have others with whom I can invest as partners.  My limitation is that I am going to move to Los Angeles, CA after graduation, but want to invest in properties in Oxford, AL.  While I am young and new to the world of real estate investing,  I am eager to learn.  I've already read several books on the subject as well as listened to BP podcasts and studied other forums as well.  My goal is to start investing in single family homes and then work my way into multi-family real estate.  Thanks in advance for all of your feedback!
