Who are we?

1. Real Estate Investing LIVE is an educational platform for beginning and novice real estate investors, with opportunities for seasoned investors to plug in and learn the newest tricks and secrets.

2. REI LIVE is committed to bringing in world class speakers to educate our members on the ins and outs of the real estate business.

3. REI LIVE is committed to education and instruction first. We have no desire to offer expensive programs to our members every meeting. Instead, we want our members to get actively involved in real estate investing right here in Columbia, and we are going to supply the necessary tools needed to make this happen.

@Vilfreda Hoagland call Cantey Company.  They manage most of our properties in Columbia.  They also have contacts with contractors that could do repairs for you.  However, if you are looking to do major renovations, you may want to get a project manager or GC to oversee that work for you.

Being a lifelong resident of SC, I grew up going to the beaches all through the summer.  Myrtle Beach was certainly the hotspot a few decades ago with no competition.  However, now the amenities and access has spread down the coast line.  

You need to figure out what you want as an investment property... Do you want premium with only high dollar guests, or do you want an everyday rental that rents as easy as a hotel.  

What is your goal for the property? Do you want to use it as your own vacation spot or is it purely an investment.

You'll need to narrow down your price point, risk tolerance, expenses, and income needed before going to far with the search. 

You could do a Beach front home in Pawleys Island or a 12th floor condo in Myrtle.  All depends on you and your goals.

Hey @Kyle Begner I'm up in Columbia and do a little wholesaling in Charleston. Have you been to the REI Central meet up? It is by far 1 of the best meet ups around. They have some great go-givers there. You should reach out to @Russ Scheider

Hey @Seymour D Clarke we do host a meet up each month and a Live on site event at 1 of our renovations.

Welcome @Juwan Parker!  We run a great meet up group in Columbia.  Our next networking opportunity will be the 21st where we will host the group at one of our renovation projects.  This is a fun event where we open up our flip projects for everyone to see and learn from.  You and @Kyle Wood should check out REI Live - Columbia on Facebook. @Scooter Williams what part of Arizona?  I'm heading out to PHX in July to meet up with some Investor friends.  

Hey @Matthew Juels, we are in Columbia and love the market.  I would caution against expecting too much appreciation unless you force it.
