Hi everyone! 28 and considering my first BRRRR investment, curious when everyone else started their Real Estate investing journey. Thanks for sharing!

I encounter it now while searching every now and then, but haven't seen any reviews! Would be curious if anyone has any experience.

Thinking from a business perspective (I work at Baselane, another property management system that offers rent collection, banking etc.) I wouldn't be surprised if it's a feeder for JPM's wealth management business.

As far as online platforms there's quite a few available!

We're building rent collection integrated with banking and bookkeeping at Baselane, other options we see most commonly are Avail, Stessa and RentRedi. Happy to chat!

Not the expert here, but I would assume it's completely legal (certainly I've heard of this relationship existing the other way around with Professors owning properties and leasing to students).

I'd expect it's far more likely that you'd come up against university rules than any real legal issue. If it does happen to be the case, I'd go to your registrar and disclose but I imagine they'd be quite understanding!

Hey Andres, Baselane has free rent collection (and high APY banking for landlords). Other options would be Avail, or Rentredi.

Happy to chat about Baselane! One quick point, you can create sub-virtual accounts for each unit / room by property which I imagine would be helpful if you're renting by the room for your third property.

Thanks all for the input! Sounds like any good cash back credit card is the move (and to keep it separate from personal account).

Curious if anyone has heard of cards with cash back for home improvement expenses etc.? (Home Depot, Lowe's)

Can also consider using Baselane which has integrated bookeeeping and expense management. Otherwise, Avail also has some of this software.

Thanks, Greg! Definitely appreciate the advice re: keeping things separate - I'm sure it makes things easier come tax time. I'm also curious what banks and cards people are using for their businesses!

Baselane covers all the features you have mentioned (e.g., one-time fees, automatic late fee adjustment)! Other options would be Rent Redi or Avail.
