I have started my real estate company and currently in order to start i will be house hacking my first year with the deal already closing soon. At this point later i would like for my LLC to hold all of my real estate

So my question is what should i do to really materialize my business, Develop credit? Where should i start first? This would just be a real estate holding company that eventually i would like to receive funding out of to do business directly with banks or private lenders.

Thank you,

Hello All,

Currently, i own a fleet of 65 trucks but I have been leasing inside of a few yards for some time now.
The property should be between 7 and 10 acres in a light manufacturing zone or San Antonio.
I am interested in financing a commercial property and I just want to know the following

- What important factors should i look for in a commercial property?
- What would be the best avenue for financing my first commercial property between 1.3 and 1.9 million
- What amount of capital is currently needed for a deal like this beforehand?

I have only dealt with financing for a small duplex and also trucks which is too small to compare to our current upcoming deal we want.

Can someone give me a few tips or also areas where i can do some research from previous deals?

I am currently trying to finish my application for my first House Hack;

I currently own a trucking company in Texas. My current financial officer stated he needs an Audited profit and Loss for 2020 however that would take too much time on my end before i can buy the home i am looking into

Do ALL financiers require this? Is there any way i can get around this? I have my taxes for the previous years filed along with my past 3 months bank statements and my company is doing well.

Any help?

@Christopher Smith

Would it matter if the business with depreciation is a DBA and not an LLC? Given the property and DBA are both attached to my personal taxes would this change anything?

@David M.

Specifically i am doing a house hack and wanting to buy a newer house that will have a higher property tax

I wasn’t entirely sure if i could just use depreciation As my personal and business taxes are one in the same

I own a trucking company (semi trucks) and a few of them i have personally guaranteed and appear in my credit report.

My question is, in Texas my Taxes are usually net negative due to the ability for depreciation on the trucks to cover any of the capital gains I’ve made. Say for example if i had a property with 8k property Tax per year, would this still be washed by the vehicles depreciation since i am the sole owner of this trucking company my business and personal tax returns are the same

Can anyone add any insight on this?

Thank you,

I was thinking of refinancing later with it being a longer term not only would i receive my money back i would also essentially cut my monthly mortgage in half as i refinance?

Would this work?

@Travis Cannon my advice as someone also relatively new to the game. When i had $1500 i knew it would be a lot more difficult without 10k or 20k to get something started alone.

If you’re like me who wants to officially own the property and learn from books then that’s what i would do. The time it will take you to read 5 books as you work will also be more potential time of saving money for that investment

That’s what i did
