Yes. It will be 10:30 versus 10 AM but it is at the same location. I'll post something announcing it.
Post: HELP!?!? How to assign a TREC 1-4 Family Contract?

Drew Shirley wrote about this on his blog. Do a google search on Lawyers guide to TREC contracts with his name. It is just one opinion but it is a good concise explanation of what one can do. He also gives his opinion on assigning contracts.
I do not know Drew nor have I done business with him but I find his writings helpful.

it went well. We had 13 people there. Our next one is the third weekend in February since Valentine's Day is the second weekend. Same time and place. We plan to do these monthly

All good ideas. I will look I got the meet up and BP guidelines are very restrictive on placement of networking events announcements. I'll ask about posting it elsewhere.
Post: Real Estate Agents - Using Bigger Pockets to Grow Your Business!

I have found Bigger Pockets to be a great way to increase my network of real estate contacts. There is so much more to being a real estate agent than making the sales pitch. You have to make the connections and build your network. Here are three things I have done that has done a lot towards increasing my contacts.
1. Reach out to the someone close to you on a periodical basis. You are allowed to make connections with others on BP. I do my best to search who near me has joined recently and ask to be a connection.
2. Contribute to the forum discussions. I am usually very picky about the thread discussions I contribute. I don't have the time to spend hours answering everything that comes over the forum wires, but I will answer if it is relevant to my situation and I can add value to the discussion.
3. Volunteer to coordinate a local meetup. I am having my first one in a couple of weeks. I am hoping I get a lot of my current connections there because I want to meet the people I have been sharing and networking with online.
And, I can't stress this enough, don't make sales pitches! They annoy most people and it is not what Bigger Pockets is about. Leave it in the Marketplace!

Different date due to scheduling conflicts, but you can get the details on the meetup at Events and Happenings Forum. Usage guidelines does not allow me to post meetings dates to this forum thread.

I have reserved a room for Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Dixie House Cafe located at:
5401 Blue Mound Road
Fort Worth, TX 76106
They have a room that can hold about 40 people and it doesn't cost anything as long as people order food. Since there is a room size limit, I would appreciate a PM if you plan to come to the brunch.
I want everyone to know that this will not be a sales pitch by me. I am interested in meeting other BP members and am only coordinating this meeting because I volunteered to do so.
How does everyone want this meeting structured? I envisioned it would be like any other networking event. We talk amongst ourselves until the food arrives and then we each get a bit of time to introduce ourselves and share leads, needs, etc. Of course, I can make it more formal with an agenda. I am open to suggestions.

Good question. I am not an attorney so I can't give legal advice. I put the question to someone I know in the CFW planning department. I'll let you know their answer.
I did notice the article did not seem to focus on MF. SFR was used repeatedly in the article.
Does anyone else in the BP community know?

I would recommend you read over the Real Estate Agent's Guide to Working with Investors(You can search for it on the site). I know it helped me to better understand investors and how I can better serve them as a real estate agent. You should be able to construct a good checklist of questions to pose to an agent based on how an agent should work with an investor. Good luck!
