Post: Has anyone used rentberry.com website to find tenants?

I just learned about a website that allows tenants to bid on apartments. The website collects all the tenants information from application to credit score and financials and provides it to landlords for free. The tenants submit bids on apartments and landlords can see a list of rent offers. If a tenant signs a lease of a place they find through rentberry.com then the tenant pays a one-time fee of $25. It is only available in a few cities like NYC, LA, SF, Boston. I wanted to ask if anyone has tried using them and how was the experience. It sounds like there are lots of ways for this to go wrong.

Thanks David and Julie!!

@Account Closed-I could just wait a week for the lease to expire and then wouldn't need to serve notice.  I could go straight to getting an unlawful detainer if they were there passed the expiration of the fixed-term lease.  However there have been numerous reports from other tenants of illicit drug use to the point where it is affecting the health/peace of the other tenants. The offending tenants are not coherent so I can't reason with them, negotiate or do cash for keys.  I know they are not leaving willingly and I know this process can take a while so I want to get started on it right away and not wait a week for the lease to expire.  I can issue a three day quit notice for being a nuisance and disturbing the other tenants (can't prove the drugs) so that is my strategy at this point. I'm worried about the damage they will do to the apartment the longer they are in there.

I own the book by nolo press and love it!! Have it next to me now. Guess, I'm going to have to buy the version solely on evictions next.

Hello BP,

It looks like I might have to evict a tenant from my fourplex in Rancho Cordova, CA.  This isn't my first eviction but I wasn't impressed with my last lawyer.  Does anyone have a recommendation for a company that will serve notice and/or file a motion to evict? I am fine with a

Anyone have experience of doing it themselves without a lawyer? The fixed-term lease expires in a week and the tenants have broken multiple clauses of their lease that are so egregious it should be relatively straightforward for a court determination. I was planning on serving them a Three day Quit notice myself but I have little faith that they will actually move out.

Thanks!
