Hello everyone,

I am new to the community and have been reading up on wholesaling REO homes. I am currently looking to wholesale homes located in the city of Detroit where property values are already low. There are many people looking to become home owners vs. renters and also many people looking to become landlords that are just unable to find the deals they desire.

Wholesaling homes will be a new adventure for myself and any advice will be greatly appreciated. I do understand that the market does not allow for much profit however even making a few thousand per deal would be a great start.

Please advise and thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks again everyone! I appreciate the feedback. I will continue to read to get more ideals as to how I may be able to get started using what little cash I have and also how I may be able to profit; maybe even as a middleman with the people I have looking for homes. Please feel free to give any opinions or helpful links. Thanks again everyone. I am glad I located this site.

Hi Jeremy! Regarding the homes you were offered in Detroit. Why did you decide against them? My thoughts are there are many people looking to purchase bank owned homes in Detroit that are having a difficult time finding them. Please provide any feedback.

Thanks everyone for the quick reply. I have been looking at homes in the Detroit area where home prices are low. I have contact with individuals looking to purchase homes in the Detroit area (per the value of homes) so that they are able to get out of rental homes or become a landlord. So my thoughts is to purchase the homes and rehab for first time buyers or provide nice deal for first time landlords. Please provide feedback as to your thoughts on this!
