Hi all, I am new to the real estate business and just finished my first home purchase.  I'm looking for another location and interested in Huntsville/Madison Alabama area.  Does anybody have any opinions on investing in this area?  I would also love to network with an agent in this area as I'm having a hard time finding someone.  I would appreciate any advice! Thanks BP

I'm interested in buying a buy and hold rental property in Huntsville/Madison area of Alabama.   I saw previous posts suggesting that this may not be the best area, but as three years have passed since those posts - I would love some more current opinions on investing here.  If anybody has any information I would greatly appreciate it!  Thank you!  - Alison Molino

@James Wise Thank you very much for this response! I have already begun looking into all of this!

Wow thank you very much for all of these extremely helpful responses.  Very much appreciated!!!

I am in the process of buying my first house in Long Island, and am very new to the idea but very interested in Real Estate investing.  Because of the LI prices, I am looking for an out of state rental property as my first rental.   I am seeing these Turn Key companies which seem ideal for an out of state investment, but am wondering if that is a good strategy for a first timer?  I have more research to do but I would love any pros and cons of a first time investment going with a Turn Key company, thank you!
